For some platform implementations, account details may not be able to be updated if the profile picture on their account has not been approved or rejected.
Users are able to take/upload a photo themselves with their device (if it has a camera or webcam, such as some laptops or mobile devices) when they log into the platform.
Once uploaded, the photo will need to be manually approved by a manager.
Searching for Users who need Profile Photo Approval
To check which users do not have an approved Profile Photo, navigate to the Users screen on Spark.
Use the filters to filter by "Has photo pending approval" to highlight any users who need to have their photo approved. This task is typically completed by the direct managers of the Organisation Unit the User is a part of.
Approving the user Photo
Once you have located the user in the platform, select their account to move to their profile.
Then, choose the tab "Personal details & account".
This tab will autoselect "Personal details", which will contain the field for the profile photo on the right-hand side.
If the user has uploaded a photo, it will appear under "Pending Approval" with the option to Approve or Reject.
Once you have decided to approve or reject the photo, click Save in the bottom left corner to apply this change to the account.
Manually uploading a Profile Photo for a User
Navigate to the User's account, and select the Personal Details and Account tab, and look at the Personal Details options.
Scroll down to the Photo section.
Here you can upload a photo to that user account by clicking "Choose file" and selecting the .jpg or .png image file you have of the user.
Once uploaded, the photo will need to be manually approved by a manager.
